PULSE 600 Series

Fast or heavy. Springless either way.

The Springless Commercial Door Operator

Fabric doors need speed. Heavy‑duty rubber and steel doors demand predictability. The PULSE 600 masters both. Open and close speeds are set independently in RPM, held steady by a gearbox encoder that compensates for voltage fluctuations. The included electromechanical brake engages instantly to hold the massive springless door in position. Programmable from a large floor‑level NEMA 4 LCD control panel and backed by a 2‑year or 1,000,000‑cycle warranty.

One Operator. Three Standard Configurations.

No need to stock a different operator for every door or input voltage. Every unit shares the same 180V DC motor, universal input voltage, feature set and floor‑level LCD panel. Only the horsepower and gearbox change, to match your door weight, application type and desired speed.

Features

Works Globally, Right Out of the Box

The PULSE 600 features patent-pending technology that accepts universal input voltage from 208–600Vac 50/60 Hz (3 Phase) or 208–240Vac 50/60 Hz (1 Phase), right out of the box. No step‑down transformer or additional configuration required. This built‑in flexibility makes the PULSE 600 ready for installations anywhere in the world.

Output RPM Control

Program the RPM for the gearbox output of the open cycle and close cycle for constant door speeds that suit your installation. The PULSE 600’s built‑in speed‑detecting encoder continuously monitors and compensates for voltage fluctuations, delivering reliable, steady speed control throughout every operation.

High-Performance 180V DC Brake Motor

Each unit is equipped with a DC 180V brake motor, available in 1½, 2, 2½ or 3 HP, paired with a gearbox in a variety of sizes and gear ratios to match the demands of the application.

Unlimited Continuous-Duty Operation

The 180V direct‑drive DC brake motor powering the PULSE 600 is built for nonstop performance. With unlimited continuous-duty operation, the PULSE 600 runs around the clock without interruption. Extended-duty capability isn’t an upgrade or add-on: it comes standard on every PULSE 600 model.
Unlimited Continuous-Duty Operation

Adjustable Soft Start/Soft Stop

This feature offers smooth, controlled acceleration and deceleration of the door, and helps prolong the life of its mechanical parts. It also aids in the prevention of cable throw. The distance of both the acceleration and deceleration can be programmed to match the door requirements as needed.

Included Electromechanical Brake

The PULSE 600 includes an electromechanical 180V brake motor. The brake mounted to the base of the motor, automatically engages whenever the operator stops. This safety feature securely locks the door in place, preventing unintended movement and helping protect both the personnel and the facility.

Chain Hoist Option

The PULSE chain hoist adds enhanced reliability by ensuring manual operation during extended power outages. Simple to use, it engages with a red cord and disengages with a green cord. It prevents downtime, protects operations, and delivers peace of mind for businesses needing uninterrupted performance.

A 26‑foot chain is supplied for a 12.5‑foot high standard lift door, with 13 feet of rope provided to engage and disengage the chain hoist. If more chain and rope are required, additional 26-foot kits are available to order.

Please contact us to order an extra chain kit or for any other custom accommodations. To order, add the "-CH" suffix to the door operator model number.

Floor-Level LCD Control Panel

The PULSE 600 is operated through a large, floor‑level control panel housed in a NEMA 4 enclosure. Most wiring connections can be completed at ground level, making installation, programming and troubleshooting significantly more convenient. The large LCD display uses plain, intuitive language, no abstract codes to decipher.

Weather-Protect Upgrade

For weather‑resistant applications, iControls recommends an upgrade. Standard PULSE operator motors are rated IP44, and could be vulnerable to water ingress. Furthermore, reflective photo‑eye sensors can be affected by condensation on the reflector, preventing reliable operation in such conditions.

To ensure uninterrupted performance, our cost‑effective weather‑resistant upgrade seals ingress points on the motor junction box and includes a NEMA 4X through‑beam sensor in place of a reflective photo‑eye.

To order the weather‑protect option, add the suffix "-WP" to the door operator part number.

Programmable Closing Timer

The closing timer automatically closes the door after a selectable delay of 1 to 99 seconds, providing convenience and added security without requiring manual intervention.
Programmable Closing Timer

Door Close Warning

When the closing timer is active, the red LED light flashes on your Stop & Go traffic light before the door closes. Programmable from 1 to 9 seconds, use this safety feature as an early warning for your workers. Best used with iControls® TL Series LED Stop & Go traffic lights.

Reliable & Precise Encoder

Mounted inside the gearbox, the encoder simplifies limit setup and allows flexible left or right‑side mounting. It works with the fully‑open home sensor to establish electronic door limits, eliminating the need for a physical limit bracket. If the door stops unexpectedly mid‑cycle, the encoder detects the loss of motion and immediately halts operation to prevent damage.
